CLASS 1:

ETHICS IN INSURANCE UNDERWRITING – 3 CE HOURS – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET

Many CE courses discuss the ethics of producers, but what are the ethical considerations underlying the basics of our business – underwriting and investing? Is ethics inherent in our underwriting process? How do we evaluate the ethics of prospective insureds? Do ethics play a role in how we invest premiums and reserves? This course addresses these broader questions.

CLASS 2:

REINSURANCE – 3 CE HOURS – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET

The Reinsurance course describes the reinsurance process from the viewpoints of the reinsurer, the ceding company, and the ultimate policyholder. Different types of reinsurance coverages and treaties are reviewed. The course examines how reinsurance works and how it benefits the public, and how it enhances the solvency of insurance companies and the insurance industry. The course makes the point most insurance buyers know little to nothing of reinsurance, yet everyone is affected by it.
